Dear friends:

Having an Eiruv surrounding a neighborhood is a hallmark to a thriving Jewish community. The Eiruv allows on Shabbat for families of all ages to carry within the boundaries to & from Synagogue. Parents can now bring their small children via stroller, seniors can come in a wheelchair, those with far walks can carry bottled water... Your Tallit or favorite Siddur can be brought to Shul & taken home.

It has been a long & arduous task to repair the Eiruv. It has also cost us thousands of dollars in supplies, equipment & man hours. This is in addition to the countless hours Mr. Shlomo Timiansky & myself have volunteered to have everything done correct & Kosher and also save us thousands of dollars more in extra costs. Most communities pay much more to construct & maintain their Eiruv.

We appealed the community several months back but unfortunately the response was very weak. There is also a weekly cost to check the Eiruv & to pay for the constant upkeep and necessary repairs.

To help cover these costs, we are kindly asking members of the community, especially those benefitting from the Eiruv, to please join the Eiruv Club in order to help sponsor & ensure the continuous upkeep of a Kosher Eiruv in our community.
